This track-focused performance electric vehicle (EV) is a significant enhancement of the Xiaomi SU7 Max, featuring the brand's new HyperEngine V8s electric motors.

At the heart of the SU7 Ultra is Xiaomi's proprietary HyperEngine V8s electric motor, the company's most powerful motor to date. This motor delivers a maximum speed of 27,200 rpm, 578 horsepower, and a peak torque of 635 Nm. However, the SU7 Ultra doesn’t rely on just one motor. It is equipped with three electric motors – two V8s and one V6s – which together produce an astounding 1,548 hp. This power output surpasses that of competitors like the Lucid Air Sapphire and Zeekr 001 FR, and it offers nearly 52% more power than the Tesla Model S Plaid.
Innovative Kirin 2 Battery Technology
The SU7 Ultra features the world’s first Kirin 2 battery, developed jointly by Xiaomi and CATL. This 897V battery pack provides up to 1,330 kW of discharge power and maintains over 800 kW at 20% state of charge (SoC). Remarkably, the battery can be recharged at 5.2C rates, allowing it to be fully charged in under 12 minutes. Assuming the Ultra shares the same 101 kWh capacity as other SU7 models, it supports charging at over 520 kW. This rapid charging capability ensures that the SU7 Ultra is always ready for high-performance driving.
Lightweight Carbon Fiber Construction
The SU7 Ultra’s body panels are made entirely from carbon fiber, reducing the car’s weight to 1,900 kg – 300 kg less than the standard SU7. This significant weight reduction enhances the car’s performance, contributing to its impressive acceleration and handling capabilities. The use of carbon fiber not only makes the car lighter but also adds to its structural integrity, making it more durable and capable of withstanding the rigors of high-speed driving.
Record-Breaking Performance Metrics
The combination of three powerful electric motors and lightweight construction enables the SU7 Ultra to achieve breathtaking performance figures. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.97 seconds, reach 200 km/h in 5.96 seconds, and has a top speed exceeding 350 km/h. These statistics place the SU7 Ultra among the fastest electric vehicles ever produced, showcasing Xiaomi’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of EV technology.
Advanced Braking and Safety Features

To manage the immense power of the SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi has equipped the car with high-performance AP Racing six-piston forged fixed calipers and race pads, both front and rear. These brakes can withstand temperatures exceeding 800 degrees Celsius and work in conjunction with the motor energy recovery system, achieving a deceleration of over 2.36G. This results in a zero-to-hundred braking distance of just 25 meters, ensuring that the car can be brought to a halt safely and efficiently.
Future Record Attempts and Production Plans
Xiaomi has ambitious plans for the SU7 Ultra. The prototype is set to attempt breaking the Nürburgring non-production lap record in October this year, with a goal to challenge the production lap record in 2025. This means a road-legal version of the SU7 Ultra is on the horizon, which is exciting news for automotive enthusiasts and speed demons alike.
